POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in preparation and submission of grant applications
Work with Principal Investigator(s) and program manager to refine and finalize research protocols, draft study questionnaires and data collection tools
Work with the research team to monitor budgets, expenses and contracts, inclusive of study equipmenta and supplies through ePRO and anticipate equipment needs on site.
Provide research support to the PI’s inclusive of literature reviews, analysis and manuscript and conference abstract preparation
Develop and manage IRB approval process
Act as a liaison to teams at study sites to keep them informed of progress and answer inquiries as well as interact with study investigators and staff within Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and collaborating institutions
Act as a liaison to investigators and senior-level staff at other study sites to ensure compliance with IRB requirements; complete necessary data and sample transfer agreements
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintain PI(s) agenda coordinate and set up team meetings and other related meetings
Other duties as assigned
Support in identifying administrative, financial and logistical study related problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of related experience is required
Masters degree preferred
At least 3-5 years experience collecting data for research (eg.
Recruitment, collecting, interviews, extracting medical records, literature searches, data analysis)
Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
May use other web-based programs as assigned;
Must be team oriented, with very strong organizational and follow-up skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required;
Effectively manages time and resources
Identifies, defines and analyzes information and situations before recommending a course of action
Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems
Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion
Interacts and proactively shares information with internal and external contacts where appropriate

Minimum Salary Range: USD $49,500.

ABOUT US:
The Study Coordinator will join the NIH-funded high profile research studies that focus on HIV and HPV disease both in the United States and in Central Africa.
In this role, the coordinator will provide direct support to the project Principal Investigators and the project manager.
Primary responsibilities will be to assist the project manager with administrative and organizational operations and provide research assistance to the Principal Investigators, inclusive of, but not limited to, literature reviews and grant submissions.
The research coordinator will also work with overseas administrators providing support in processing invoices and ordering supplies.
The study coordinator will also work with US based research team providing support to ensure that studies are following compliance policies and procedures established by the NIH and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
