Private Animal Hospital seeking a candidate to join our team as a Veterinary front desk Receptionist.
Some experience is preferable, we are willing to train.
Candidate must have the ability to:
* Have compassion and empathy for Clients and Patients.
*Work in a fast paced environment and Multi-task
*BE PUNCTUAL.
Arrive on time every shift ready to work.
*Have basic arithmetic skills & basic computer operating skills.
*Follow directions and pay close attention to detail.
* Learn codes, basic medical information, and prices for services quickly.
*Ability to work independently
Education: Hs diploma and/or GED
Job Duties include:
*Provide exceptional Customer Service at all times regardless of the circumstance.
* Ability to show Compassion and Empathy towards clients and patients.
*Greet clients as soon as they arrive.
*Responsible for scheduling appointments and checking in appointments.
*Correctly collect Client and Patient information.
*Patient and Client data entry.
* File and maintain patient records.
*Creating and updating invoices for services.
*Attain correct information and create invoices for prescription refills.
*Handling cash, credit and debit card transactions.
*Answer phone calls for a 5 line phone service.
Answer basic questions, provide prices for services and correctly direct calls to appropriate staff.
*Make reminder calls, and any other correspondence via phone or email.
*Print out patient records, invoices, receipts etc.
*Make copies and send out fax correspondence.
*Always be ready.
Prepare all that you need prior to appointments arriving.
*Clean after yourself.
Your work area is your responsibility.
Sweep, Mop, Dust, and empty trash cans daily.
*Dress in medical scrubs for all shifts.
Uniforms must always be worn.
* Positive and professional attitude towards clients, staff and co-workers.
*Must be able to deal with difficult clients or emotional clients in a calm professional manner.
*Must be a problem solver.
*Must follow directions and ability to handle constructive criticism to improve work performance.
*Must respect Supervisors.
*Complete miscellaneous tasks provided by Veterinarian and/or Supervisor (Vet Tech).
*Punctuality is expected and will not be tolerated.
