ASSISTANT CHILDCARE PROVIDER Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is expanding rapidly to continue its mission of providing homeless families with opportunities and support to transition into permanent housing.

We are seeking full-time Assistant Childcare Provider to provide supervision and quality care for children under 24 months in our North Bronx location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in creating a child-oriented atmosphere.
Assure children’s basic needs are met (food, clothing, safety, diapering, rest, etc.
).
Supervise and interact closely with children at all times.
Provide a balance of activities to meet children’s needs.
Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones, writing reports and filling out forms.
Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the center.
Comply and ensure all Article 47 policies are being met.
Support the Childcare Supervisor in daily tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS An Assistant Childcare Provider must have at a minimum of an Associate Degree in the social sciences, applied health sciences, or human services, or a related degree that is approved by the department, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
Experience working with children under the age of 24 months.
Ability to sit on the floor, bend and pick up children through the course of an eight-hour shift.
Upon hire candidate may be subject to clearances as required by law and regulations.
