Transportation Driver Performance Supervisor
Baldor, a broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries.
A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies.

Responsible for supervision and training of drivers ensuring deliveries are made in safe, efficient and timely manner.
Assists with monitoring Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, ensures drivers are in compliance with all DOT and company regulations, and coordinates the tracking of all relevant information on drivers.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
WORK SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday / 4am - 1pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
Assists in scheduling as well as ensuring deliveries and pickups are made in a timely manner.
Rides with drivers for training and/or evaluation purposes.
Roll-on the Driver Scorecard Initiative and set up the KPIs to management the drivers’ performance; including but not limited to, On – Time Delivery, Realized PvA Miles, Realized PvA Duration and Selling Units per Hour.
Identify Transportation Industry Best Practices and implement training programs to improve driver performance
Manage the Driver POD, Signature and Route Sequence compliance.
Ensures drivers fulfill duties safely by monitoring vehicle safety, safe usage of ramps and handcarts, seat and weight belt use, and safe lifting and product-handling practices.
May attend quarterly safety meetings.
Ensures accurate completion of all delivery and driver-related paperwork including invoices, trip reports, fuel tickets, DOT logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR),.
Ensures maintenance of all trucks, tractors and trailers through detailed review of post-trip inspections
Works in conjunction with Routing Manager to minimize operating expenses and to ensure all deliveries are efficiently routed.
Manage the drivers’ notes from High Jump assign the feedback to the areas (Routing, Safety and Delivery Instruction Note)
Coaching Drivers for handheld usage, etc.
Day-to-Day operational needs, ie.
dashboard updating, calls, supplying information to sales & drivers
Driver training in office and on the road
Create reports for driver performance in pertinent applications
Able to handle, at times stressful fast paced environment while making sound decisions for the safety of our drivers and still keeping with the business needs
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Desired Experience:
· Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
· CDL License Preferred
· 4-6 years of transportation experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems within the foodservice industry.
· 2 years of supervisory experience
