*Job Description:*
- Drive Tandem axle 52,000LB GVW 26' Straight truck through variable routes
- Loads and unloads groceries from truck by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly.
- Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
- Delivers and stacks merchandise on customer's premises and collects payment or obtains receipt for goods.
- Verifies load against shipping papers.
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
