Dispatch Manager
Duties:
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities for efficient and timely delivery of goods following standard operating procedures
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency
- Utilize a transportation management system to monitor, direct, and manage the delivery associates on the road.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise
- Oversee fleet management, including maintenance schedules, fuel efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall transportation operations
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- At least 3 years of proven experience in transportation planning and logistics management
- Strong analytical skills to analyze transportation data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of fleet management practices and regulations
