Compensation:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I (TA): $65,954 - $78,079
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II (TA): $76,577 - $85,288
Associate Transit Management Analyst (TA): $86,565 - $112,083
Responsibilities:
This position is critical to ensure the administrative, operational and technical functions undertaken will support Car Equipment/Work Equipment to meet the goals and mandates of the division.
The incumbent will be responsible for timekeeping and payroll processing, PeopleSoft queries and data entry, the collection and distribution of information related to safety reports, forecasting, asset management and manpower.
The position will work closely with supervision and management to ensure mandated training and certifications are met to meet rules, regulations and policies set forth.
Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports.
One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.
One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
Desired Skills:

Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
