Looking for someone who is patient and loves working with children and has a good working knowledge of Child Development and is able to communicate with parents on a daily basis in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
Preferably studying to be a teacher with some Early Childhood credits.
Some of the responsibilities of this position are:
* Planning and implementing engaging activities with children on a daily and monthly basis
* Documentation and display of children's work for parents on a daily and monthly basis.
* Maintain a clean and organized environment
* Demonstrate good classroom management
* Be responsible for the day to day duties which include but not limited to monitoring attendance, setting up classroom for engagement, paperwork, meeting with Director, gathering and rotating toys for monthly themes, implement behavior management strategies, creating bulletin boards that demonstrate learning, utilize two-way parent communication apps, monitoring the health and safety of children at all times, etc.
* Complete required training such as CPR, Mandatory Reporter, CACFP Training, Foundations in Health and Safety, and others as requested by Director
* Work collaboratively with others in a respectful manner and able to give guidance and directions to supporters in the classroom
* Be willing to undergo a Comprehensive Background check through OCFS, DOI and DOHMH
