*Position Title: *Director of Training and Development
*Job Summary*: The Training and Development Director serves a pivotal role in the design, planning and implementation of the Essen’s training programs that are aligned with the objectives and strategies of the company.
The Director is responsible for collaborating with the functional management teams across the company to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of the established programs.
*Responsibilities include:*
* Oversee learning activities, curriculum and resources
* Develop a program delivery schedules that provide training as needed for all locations that works for employees
* Provide engaging communication about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training.
* Use performance reviews and skills gap analyses to identify training needs per department, team and individual
* Approve new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs
* Manage and develop training professionals
* Oversee and establish relationships with different vendors to provide additional outside training resources
* Implement effective methods for enhancing performance, and recognizing outstanding performance
* Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning
* Recommend new training methods (including e-learning platforms)
* Maintain a consistent culture in the business with regard to training and development.
* Create functional strategies and specific objectives
* Assess employee needs for training
*Job Requirements:*
* BA degree HR, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology or relevant field
* 5+ years of managerial experience, preferably training manager or similar role
* Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
* In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Bilingual, fluent Spanish strongly preferred
