JOB TITLE: SHELTER PROGRAM DIRECTOR

SALARY: $80,000.
00 - $90,000.

SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall operation of the shelter and the program, ensuring that all facets of the shelter operate in compliance with OTDA/DHS shelter guidelines.
Reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Housing Services.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the Director of Social Services, Administrative Assistant and Housing Specialist
Upholds all agency, division and shelter policies and procedures and ensures that all social services are operating optimally and in program compliance.
Ensures that housing targets are achieved.
Create accurate monthly reports both internally and externally
Ensure that all incidents are reported timely and accurately.
Ensures that family’s needs are being addressed through regular meeting with subordinates.
Recommends hiring and promotions, makes corrective and termination decisions in conjunction with appropriate supervisory parties and department.
Ensures that social services staff are provided with regular supervision
Serves on agency and division committees and work groups.
Represent agency at external meetings with collaborative agencies and funders.
Monitor program performance related to established benchmarks, internally and DHS benchmarks
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in social work or related human services field.
Five years’ human services work experience with three years of supervisory and management capacity.
Ability to manage a multi-faceted, dynamic program.
Strong planning, interpersonal and communication skills a must.
24 hour on-call for emergencies and local travel required.
Must be comfortable with using the computer.
Must be familiar with CARES
