We’re looking to add a PORTER to our property management team in the BRONX.
We are an established real estate owner/management company in business for 80+ years with properties in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Scarsdale and the Bronx
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily cleaning of all common areas such as hallway corridors, lobbies and vestibules, stairwells, management office, elevators, laundry rooms, trash rooms, building exterior, compactor rooms, and boiler areas, removal of trash and neatly arranging for curbside removal by DSNY, and other duties assigned by your supervisor or property manager.
Detailed cleaning of vacant apartments and/or apartments with pending move-in dates.
Seasonal building preparations for inclement weather including snow removal (shoveling and/or use of snow blower) and de-icing of sidewalks using calcium chloride.
On rainy days, placing and removal of fitted mats and floor coverings in heavily trafficked public areas.
Strong observational and diagnostic skills to proactively recognize and escalate possible issues with building common areas or resident units in a timely manner to Superintendent.
Qualifications:
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Due to physical nature of certain required tasks, must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
• Team player
• Cheerful and courteous demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Assist tenants as needed with packages
