We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Busboy/Barback.
As a Busboy/Barback, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment by providing excellent support to our front-of-house and bar staff.
Your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining and bar areas, as well as assist with various tasks to enhance the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Clearing and resetting tables: Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables promptly and efficiently.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other furniture to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
Reset tables for new guests in a timely manner.
Dishwashing and kitchen support: Assist in the dishwashing process by efficiently cleaning and organizing dishes, glassware, and utensils.
Support the kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients.
Bar support: Assist bartenders with tasks such as restocking liquor, beer, and wine supplies, replenishing ice, and changing kegs.
Ensure the bar area is clean and well-maintained, including polishing glassware and organizing bar tools.
Stocking and replenishing supplies: Monitor inventory levels of items such as napkins, straws, and condiments.
Replenish supplies as needed to ensure a smooth operation and uninterrupted customer service.
Cleaning and maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas, including dining, bar, and restroom facilities.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
Empty trash and recycling bins and properly dispose of waste.
Assisting customers: Provide friendly and attentive service to customers by promptly responding to their requests, answering questions, and providing assistance when needed.
Collaborating with team members: Work closely with the waitstaff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure effective communication and cooperation.
Assist colleagues with their tasks during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
Adhering to safety regulations: Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Handle and store cleaning chemicals properly, and promptly report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, such as kegs or boxes of supplies.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
